General guidelines

The journal is a high-level French scientific journal that addresses topics related to entrepreneurship and innovation from both a national and international perspective. Its mission is to facilitate dialogue between practitioners and researchers in order to identify the most cutting-edge issues and trends.

Academic researchers are encouraged to write on fundamental topics related to current events, with the aim of being understood by practitioners.

Practitioners are more than just readers; we aim for them to share experiences, insights, and practical tools that enlighten and challenge researchers. The ambition is to make robust scientific reflections or innovative ideas accessible to readers, with a focus on practicalimplications.

The journal is open to all disciplines and perspectives. Each contribution can be submitted in French or in English.

The publication of an article is contingent on the evaluation process and does not require payment of any fees from contributing authors.

All articles published in the journal are publicly accessible on the CAIRN.info editorial platform. Articles published within the last three years are subject to access fees while older articles are available for free.

Article submission

The journal Entreprendre et Innover / Speaking of Entrepreneurship and Innovation publishes four issues per year (three thematic issues and one issue covering a variety of topics) on economic, educational, societal, and environmental challenges in entrepreneurship.

The turnaround time for the initial acceptance of submitted articles (desk reject) before entering the evaluation process is 10 days.

Sections

Each issue is organized in four sections with strong managerial and entrepreneurial implications:

Research article: scientific articles (maximum of 30,000 characters, including spaces, bibliography and appendix) aimed at presenting research results to the scientific, academic community, and a broader audience of professionals and practitioners. These articles aim to present new knowledge that can meet the expectations of the professional world;

Field-level dialogue: articles based on field experience (maximum of 30,000 characters, including spaces, bibliography, and appendix) or on interviews (individual or joint) with recognized experts, authored by professionals with or without academic collaboration. These articles aim to foster dialogue between the academic and practitioner worlds through narratives and analyses of practices related to entrepreneurship and innovation. They can take the form of academic articles and/or interviews (individual or joint);

Innovative practice: articles that share innovative pedagogical or professional experiments (maximum of 12,000 characters, including spaces, bibliography and appendix) with members of those two communities;

Inspiration: articles (maximum of 12,000 characters, including spaces, bibliography and appendix) drawing from culture in the broad sense (literature, performing arts, visual arts, etc.) to shed light on the theme of an issue from different perspectives, enriching the dialogue and broadening the debate…

Each issue may also include articles outside of the main theme, addressing current events, academic conferences and/or professional meetings in France and internationally.

Peer-review

In the journal Entreprendre et innover / Speaking of entrepreneurship and innovation, research articles are evaluated through a triple-blind peer review. The review committee consists of two academic evaluators and one professional evaluator. Articles in the “Fieldlevel dialogue” section undergo a double-blind peer review. Other articles in the “Innovative

Practice” and “Inspiration” sections are evaluated by one or more editors of the issue and one or more members of the editorial board.

The editorial team reserves the right to use anti-plagiarism and AI (Artificial Intelligence) detection tools in the article evaluation process.
